Why is my stomach growling and bloating? I'm learning that my stomach growling is not from hunger. There are certain housekeeping conditions in the body where it cleans out debris and food particles. This creates a pumping of debris from the small intestine into the colon. It's important in preventing small intestine bacterial overgrowth. (SIBO) Many people have this condition and don't know it.
When there is too much bacteria in the small intestine it robs us of nutrients. Vitamin A, D, C, Zinc, and potassium to name a few are deficient in our bodies. Also, vegetables and fiber begin to ferment which causes bloating.
There are two easy remedies.
Take bile salt
Intermittent fasting
Bile salts are a primary component of bile and are needed by the body to help break down fats, aid digestion, absorb important vitamins, and eliminate toxins. Bile salts are stored in your gallbladder when they’re not being used. If your gallbladder is removed, it can lead to a bile salt deficiency.
Intermittent fasting gives our bodies time to break down bacteria in the gut.
