After the Fast Part 2

Updated: Jul 30, 2023

Breaking the intermittent fast and staying on track with ketones, will require a proper break-fast.

2. Break your fast in steps during a 4 hour window.

When you break your fast, especially if you're new to fasting it's best to break in stages. For instance, you break your fast at 10 AM after a 16 hour intermittent fast and your stomach is growling. Start with a cup of bone broth at 10 AM next and avocado at 10:30 or 11 AM. at noon a couple of tablespoons of organic nut butter preferably not peanut peanuts will bring your sugar up. And then around one or 2 PM scrambled eggs up to six scrambled eggs would be fine.

These foods will keep your body in ketosis while satisfying your hunger. Keep your intermittent fast simple. The good news is you don't need to start with a three day fast! Learning how to come on and off the intermittent fast is key for mastering the next steps.

Stay on the 16 hour fast with an 8 hour window for eating until you feel your ketones are burning hot and you have a good handle on how to break your fast with the right foods.
